Tigers unsure of match outcome

Coach Riley Worth called it a unique situation he will probably never be in again.
After the top four scorers for the Tigers and Rochester Mayo Spartans after golfers turned in their scorecards Tuesday at Green Lea Golf Course, the teams sat tied at 321.
In a somewhat common situation, the two teams, by rule, looked to their fifth scores for a tie-breaker and were still tied. Their sixth scores tied, too.
Unsure of what to do next, Worth and Spartans coach Neil McCormack looked to the tie-breaking criteria used in the Big Nine Conference tournament and compared each team’s top three scores. Unbelievably the teams were still tied until the coaches compared the each team’s top two scores and the Tigers won by a stroke.
Although the Tigers won by Big Nine Conference tie-breaking criteria, the outcome of the match is still officially unknown. Worth planned on consulting the Big Nine Conference on Wedensday.
