Due to a scheduling conflict, the July 21 city council work session will now be at 5:30 p.m. July 25. A planned budget forum will be held during this time.
According to a press release, the city is inviting residents and business owners to come to the meeting at 5:30 p.m. to provide ideas and suggestions for projects and programs they would like to see completed or offered next year or in the future.
City Manager Chad Adams said that the city is specifically looking for community input on the Facilities Master Plan and how to fund the various facilities including a community center on the Blazing Star Landing, improvements or relocation of the City Arena, improvements to the Aquatic Center bathhouse and the Edgewater Pavilion in Edgewater Park.
More public input will be taken when the council considers the preliminary levy on Sept. 12. The public can contact their city councilor or the city manager’s office at 507-377-4330, if they have questions, comments or concerns.
