My 8-year-old granddaughter’s friend recently died in a bicycle/car collision.

I wonder if the city of Albert Lea would make our neighborhood streets more user-friendly for our children and grandchildren.

Maybe by reducing speeds and placing stop signs at every street intersection. Not all neighborhoods have sidewalks for children to bike safely.

Surely as licensed drivers we can learn to slow down.
