Ken Roczen won the Spring Creek National on Saturday for his sixth victory in the first eight Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship events of the season, sweeping the 450 Class motos.
The RCH Suzuki rider from Germany has won 13 of the first 16 motos this season and has 12 career 450 victories.
“Today was tough as we were faced with a few challenges throughout the day, including a bent shifter during the second moto,” Roczen said. “Fortunately I was able to grab clean shifts in order to make sure that I did not take the chance of losing points. Overall, I’m happy to walk away with another win, but I need to go home and improve my starts so we can get out front a little sooner.”
Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin was second, finishing third in the first moto and second in the second. Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac was third. He was second on the first moto and third in the second.
“I love this track and I’m really happy that I was able to put together two strong motos,” Musquin said. “All I need to do is keep getting good starts and I know that I am capable of finishing inside of the top three each race.”
