Beth Ann (Tamez) Beddow, 58, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, in Daytona Beach, Florida, after a battle with cancer.

Beth was born in Port Clinton, Ohio, Aug. 23, 1957, to Shirley Riedmaier and Hilario Tamez. She was the only girl, having seven brothers. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Port Clinton. Beth grew up in Port Clinton and attended school there.

Beth had three children: Eric Battle and Tanner and Zane Beddow. She worked at several different jobs, but her greatest source of pride was her boys. Her door was always open to friends and anyone who needed a place to talk. She always had a fresh pot of coffee on. Beth loved to cook and bake and was happiest when she was cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was known for making way more than enough and people always left her house with more food than they knew what to do with. She loved her three sons and grandchildren and was very proud of her family. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Beth is survived by her sons Eric (Michelle) Battle of Albert Lea, Tanner Beddow of Albert Lea and Zane Beddow of Albert Lea; her grandchildren Cierra Hanson, Chelsey Bale and Ethan Bale; a great-grandson, Archer, who is due to be born in November; brothers Mike (Lynee) Tamez of Erick, Wisconsin, and Jeff Riedmaier of Albert Lea.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Riedmaier; father, Hilario Tamez; and brothers Larry Tamez, Mark Tamez, Lynn Riedmaier, Chris Riedmaier and PJ Riedmaier.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the service at the church.
