Tops MN 979

The TOPS Minnesota Chapter 979 announced its June and July winners.

June winners were Gina Wadding, division 1; Janice Schroeder, division 2; Barb Solberg, division 3; Pat Sorenson, division 4; and Darlene Kenison, division 5.

Weekly best losers were Lorraine Wallace, first; Schroeder, second; LeAnn Jones, third; Laureen Hohansee, fourth; and Solberg, fifth.

Best Loser 4 Star winners were Schroeder and Jones.

Showers were given for Hohansee, fruit; and Nancy Jenson, veggie.

Flower garder contest winners were KOPS Jenson and TOPS Hohansee, first; Jones, second; and Wallace, third.

Quarterly division winners were Wadding, division 1; Schroeder, division 2; Solberg, division 3; Sorenson, division 4; and Kenison, division 5.

KOPS in black were Ardis Bang, Peggy Indrelie and Jenson.

July division winners were Hohansee, division 3; Fern Rockwell, division 4; and Kenison, division 5.

Weekly best losers were Kenison, first; Schroeder, second; Soper, third; and Rose Rolands, fourth.

Showers were given for Schroeder, veggie; Jenson, paper; Hohansee, veggie; and Wallace, veggie.

 

Duplicate Bridge Club

Duplicate Bridge Club played Aug. 3 over four tables at Austin Senior Center in Austin. Winners were David Ring and Orrien Roisen, first place; Loren Cleland and Bud Higgins, second place; Vandy Newman and Ron Peters, Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher, and Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends, tied for third place.

Duplicate Bridge plays at noon each Wednesday at Austin Senior Center. New players are welcome.

 

Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club

The Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club had a dance July 30 at the Senior Center in Skyline Plaza. Wayne Kubicek was the caller and called to over four squares. The next dance was scheduled for Aug. 13. Mary Mehus and Ernie Auringer were the callers.
