Court documents state the victim in the July 11 domestic assault suffered a perforated eardrum.

The sentences will run concurrently.

Mays will serve his sentence at the Minnesota correctional facility in St. Cloud.

Court documents state Mays was charged with felony theft after a bartender reported that a man had come behind the bar and taken two green bank bags inside the register. One contained money from selling pull tabs and the other contained pull tab payout receipts.

A police sergeant reviewed video surveillance that showed a suspect later identified as Mays walk behind the bar, take something behind the register and leave the bar.
