Blue Earth came to town to face off against Albert Lea in girls’ tennis Tuesday afternoon.

Coming off a victory over Austin, the Tigers looked to build on that momentum against the Buccaneers. Unfortunately, the Tigers couldn’t put much together in the way of wins, winning only two of seven matches and losing by a score of 5-2.

Samantha Skarstad picked up the only win for the Tigers in singles play. She earned a straight set victory over Malarie Scholtes (6-4, 6-2). In doubles, Katie Boettcher and Alexa Drescher notched a win over Macie Stevermer and Maddie McCleary (3-6, 6-1, 6-2).
