Duplicate Bridge Club

Duplicate Bridge Club played at five tables Aug. 31 at the Senior Center in Austin. Winners were Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends, first place; Loren Cleland and Bud Higgins, second place; Dave Ring and Orrin Roisen, third place; Barb Engebretson and Gene Mucho, fourth place; and John Liesen and Rick Stroup, fifth place.

Duplicate Bridge plays at noon each Wednesday at the Senior Center in Austin. The public is invited to attend.

National Active and Retired Federal Employees

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter No. 469 met Aug. 9 at Pizza Ranch in Austin. Eaton Miller, financial planner with Superior Financial, spoke on the topic of living an informed retirement. The business meeting was conducted and committee reports were given. The next meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11 at Pizza Ranch in Albert Lea.
