Lee Weiler, 1931-2016

Lee (Kobak) Weiler passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, in her home in Maplewood.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; parents Victoria and Edward Kobak; sister, Alice Bush; and brother-in-laws Ronald Bush and Jack Weiler.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Weiler of Maplewood; and sons Larry Weiler of St. Paul and Scott Weiler of Zimmerman; brother, Ernie Kobak of Parksville, Missouri; sister, Marion June of Sarasota, Florida; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a crazy granddog.
Lee was born July 27, 1931, in Wausau, Wisconsin, and attended Schofield and Wausau schools. She married her high school sweetheart “Bob” in 1948. Their 64 year love story took them to Albert Lea and Apple Valley to raise their family and building numerous dear friendships along the way, eventually returning to their Wausau roots to become care providers for their parents.
Lee thoroughly enjoyed her various roles as wife, mother, grandmother, friend, volunteer, homemaker and caregiver. Lee loved her family and loved entertaining for the holidays always making sure Christmas was extra special for family and friends. Her cooking, baking and decorating skills will certainly be missed. With her desire to make everyone feel special, Lee left family and friends with many fond memories of her very caring and giving ways.
Private burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Wausau.
