A.L. CC competes in Rochester

Despite the rainy conditions, the Albert Lea boys’ and girls’ cross country teams didn’t have much about which to complain as the Tigers traveled to Rochester to compete in the Rochester Mayo Invite Thursday afternoon.

The boys’ team placed 15th out of 27 teams.

Once again, Carson Goodell led the boys’ team, as he came in 19th place with a time of 17:23.

On the girls’ side, Autumn Muilenberg finished in 12th place with a time of 20:35.

“I am very proud of the Albert Lea teams today,” said Tigers coach Jim Haney. “The teams went out and battled a very good field of runners and did a great job. The hard work in practice is paying off.”

Rounding out the scores for the boys’ team, Leo Olveda ran a time of 18:13, Grant Herfindahl finished in 18:44 and J.V. Moreno clocked in at 19:05. Joe Kreun rounded out the scores with a time of 19:28.

The Tigers will be in action in Fairmont Tuesday.

Start time for the race is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
