Northwood to host Oktoberfest

Worth Brewing Company will host its 10th annual Oktoberfest Saturday in front of the new taproom on Central Avenue in historic downtown Northwood. Worth Brewing in partnership with TUNE, Northwood’s community non-profit, will close the street for food, fun and fest beer from noon to midnight. The family-friendly event is full of games, food, live music, imported beers and Worth Brewing Oktoberfest, a malty lager brewed in Northwood once a year just for this celebration.

According to a press release, attendees will have the opportunity to dance to traditional German fest music all day. New Trick will perform classic rock on the Chamber stage beginning at 7 p.m. and games include bags, das boot, stein hoisting and Hammerschlagen will be played

TUNE will serve a full menu of German specialties and this year’s guest imported German beer is Paulaner Hefe Weizen.
