Thanks to 20 points in the second quarter, Lake Mills was able to propel itself on the road over MFL-Mar-Mac Friday night.
The Bulldogs held a 20-6 lead at halftime, then held on for a 34-26 victory, their third of the season.
Cael Boehmer was back at quarterback after leaving last week’s loss against Denver with an injury. He compeleted 7-14 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
Slade Sifuentes kept up his solid senior season by scoring three touchdowns — two receiving and one rushing — and totaled 147 yards.
Parker Eaton had a 62-yard touchdown reception and Alex Albert ran for 79 yards and a touchdown.
“We dominated the second and third quarters,” said Bulldogs coach Bill Byrnes. “Defensively, our front seven played very well, and the offense was explosive. We were able to run the ball, which was a good sign.”
After winning one game in 2015, the Bulldogs are now 3-2.
Lake Mills will host BCLUW for homecoming this weekend.
Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
