A Clarks Grove man was injured Thursday after a vehicle struck a tree outside Alden.

Shawn Dufrene, 25, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with an injury deemed not life-threatening, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Dufrene was attempting to connect his Bluetooth device when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and struck a tree near the intersection of 680th Avenue and 240th Street outside Alden, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported at 10:48 a.m.

Dufrene was reportedly able to walk at the scene.
