Money stolen from business

A theft in progress was reported at 1:36 a.m. today at Comfort Inn, 810 Happy Trails Lane.

A male described as Hispanic came into the hotel and asked to see a room. As one of the employees was showing a room, a second male described as Hispanic with a tattoo on his face allegedly jumped the counter and grabbed cash behind the counter.

The alleged assailants left in an unknown vehicle.

Police are working to recover video footage from the alleged incident.

2 arrested for violations

Albert Lea police arrested Joshua Richard Kelly, 23, on a local warrant and being an ineligible person in possession of a firearm during a traffic stop at 3:24 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Johnson Street. Police arrested Tyler Thomas Osmundson, 23, on an apprehension and detention order and felony fifth-degree meth possession at the scene.

1 arrested for theft

Police arrested Justin Wade Bleything, 41, after a theft in progress was reported at 6:53 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Sex crime with a child victim reported

A sex crime with a child victim was reported at 6 p.m. Sunday in Glenville.

8 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Joseph Lee Marlin, 33, on a Department of Corrections warrant at 11:40 p.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Police arrested Michael Renard Houston, 35, on a warrant at 7:39 p.m. Saturday at 204 S. Pearl St.

Cheyenne Debra Goodhart, 20, turned herself in on a local warrant at 4:35 p.m. Saturday at 411 S. Broadway Ave. Goodhart reportedly also had a Blue Earth County warrant.

Police arrested one person on a Dakota County warrant after a traffic crash with no injuries was reported at 8:29 a.m. Sunday at 820 Happy Trails Lane.

Police arrested David Frank Nolan, 37, on a local warrant and Anthony Allen Kamish, 24, on a Mower County warrant at 10:48 p.m. Sunday at 1525 Margaretha Ave.

Police arrested Ryan Dean Johnson, 37, on local warrants at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 718 St. Peter Ave. Johnson reportedly also had a Mower County warrant.

Police arrested Michael Anthony Livingston, 29, on a local warrant at 5:12 a.m. today at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

1 cited for disorderly conduct

Police cited Cassandra Lynn Sims, 31, for disorderly conduct and fifth-degree assault after an assault was reported at 10:44 a.m. Saturday at 218 W. College St.

Items damaged

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 2:16 a.m. Sunday at 726 Marshall St. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000. No suspects were identified.

A mailbox and Freeborn County Shopper box were reported damaged at 10:20 a.m. Saturday at 80086 S.E. River Road, Glenville. Garbage was reportedly left and a pumpkin smashed.

Combine fire reported

A combine fire was reported at 5:49 p.m. Sunday at 82513 190th St., outside Hayward.

Campaign signs defaced, stolen

Three Donald Trump signs were reported defaced at 6:47 p.m. Sunday at 65295 220th St., outside Alden. The incidents have been throughout the county.

A Donald Trump political sign was reported stolen from a yard at 10:13 a.m. Sunday at 1122 Crestview Road.

Drug violations reported

Drug violations were reported at 8:39 a.m. Friday at 2000 Tiger Lane.

Thefts reported

A wallet was reported taken at 9:48 a.m. Sunday at 121 1/2 N. Broadway. The incident allegedly happened Saturday night.

Bows and arrows and two bicycles were reported taken at 1:44 p.m. Sunday at 2205 Margaretha Ave.

A theft was reported at 11:11 a.m. Friday at 801 E. Richway Drive.

A theft was reported at 4:31 p.m. Friday at 840 Happy Trails Lane. The incident allegedly happened Thursday night. A loss of nearly $300 was reported.

A theft was reported at 10:10 a.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Society, 75507 240th St.

Assault reported

An assault was reported at 3:50 p.m. Sunday at 312 W. College St.
