Offense continues to hinder Rebels

United South Central’s offense has gone dormant over the past few weeks. That trend continued Friday night when USC traveled to Kenyon-Wanamingo to take on the Knights.
The Rebels fell behind early and could never make up ground on their way to a 47-15 loss.
The Knights scored 21 points in the first quarter, and then added 20 more in the second quarter to open up a 41-7 lead at halftime.
The Rebels cut the Knights’ lead to 21-7 early in the second quarter when Mitch Harpestad found Keenan Biddle for a 16-yard touchdown.
But it was all Knights after that.
Knights running back Calvin Steberg rushed for two touchdowns in the second quarter and quarterback Jack Beulke passed for four touchdowns in the game.
After winning its first two games of the season, USC has lost four straight and has scored 29 points during that span.
It will look to turn around its misfortunes when it hosts Blooming Prairie Friday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
