I am writing in support of our state Rep. Peggy Bennett. I have known Peggy for many years. She taught both of our children, and they loved her. Peggy serves as an elder in our ministry and is a trusted and respected leader. Peggy is a loving, intelligent, strong and compassionate person. Anyone who knows Peggy knows this about her. She is one who has a real heart of care and concern for every human being. Peggy serves out of her generous nature. She has personally funded young people going on mission trips, serves regularly on our homeless missions to the Twin Cities, is a regular volunteer at Ruby’s Pantry and does a whole lot more. Peggy’s service is longstanding in our community and abroad.

Peggy is the real deal — what you see is what you get. That is one of the things I respect about her most. She is not a politician. She is one of us. I have personally witnessed Peggy interact with people who do not agree with her or are of different philosophies than hers. In every case, without fail, Peggy is respectful, considerate and seeks for common ground. She is an attentive listener, an excellent communicator and is open to the advice and opinions of others.

Peggy is one who can reach across the aisle and get things done. She has done a superb job in representing the people of District 27A as a first-term legislator. As our state representative, Peggy is always visible and reachable to the people of our district. I am fully confident in Peggy’s leadership and ability to continue to serve our district. Her motto is and continues to be “People before politics.” That sums up Peggy Bennett perfectly. I trust her. I admire her for her life’s work, and I am proud to call her my friend. I ask you to join me in re-electing our state Rep. Peggy Bennett on Nov. 8!
