Westbound Interstate 90 motorists near Austin will encounter a right lane closure, which began Monday, as crews repair concrete pavement, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The right lane of westbound I-90 will be closed from exit 175, near Highway 105 in west Austin, to exit 163 near Hayward as crews make repairs. The work is expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m. Friday.
In places, the pavement will be removed and replaced. During the process the lane will have gaps and breaks, which is why traffic will be restricted to a single lane in the westbound lanes. No restrictions will be placed for eastbound traffic.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
