Yauger attempted to make a right-hand turn onto 865th Avenue, but the vehicle’s brake lights and turn signals were not operational, the report stated.

A 2008 Mercury Milan driven by Brenegan was reportedly following the semi and attempted to pass the slowing truck on the right, when the semi turned in on the Mercury and the two vehicles collided at 3:13 p.m., the report stated.

The Mercury reportedly rolled on its side into the ditch and continued to roll, stopping on its roof, the report stated.

Yauger was not injured in the crash.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Hollandale Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Brenegan and Yauger were wearing the seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report stated.
