Louis “Lou” J. Christenson, 89, of St. Therese in New Hope, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. Lou was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jan.

He is survived by children Tom (Cindy) Christenson, Betsy (Mike) Rasmussen and Robin (Jay) Kottke; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Lou enjoyed visiting with friends, family time, golfing and woodworking.

There will be a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of the Sacred Heart, 41st Avenue North and Hubbard Avenue North in Robbinsdale. Private interment  will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

His family gives their thanks to the staff and his many friends at St. Therese for their love and support. Memorials are preferred to St. Therese of New Hope or the donor’s preference.
