Funeral services for Lorraine Margaret Hacker, 58, of Albert Lea, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Wendy Anderson will officiate. Interment will be at Concordia Pickerel Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Lorraine died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at her home from natural causes.
Lorraine M. Hacker was born Nov. 6, 1958, in Solon Mills, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Eveyln (Kraft) Ritzert. She attended and graduated from Manly High School. Lorraine then attended Rochester Community College for two years. On June 27, 1981, she was united in marriage to Steven Hacker in Emmons. Lorraine worked for various food establishments in Albert Lea and at Conger Meat Market at Northbridge Mall and then retired to enjoy and take care of her precious two granddaughters. Taking care of her family was her most important and loving profession. She loved meeting and visiting with anyone she came in contact with. Lorraine was a member of the Albert Lea Tops, Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake, where she served as Sunday School teacher and anything else that was needed of her.
Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, Steven; daughter Emily (Ian) Hartman and their children Arrya and Ryver; four brothers and four sisters; mother and father-in-law, Max and Marlys Hacker; many brothers and sisters-in-law; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Casey; and special grandfather, Erwin Keuthe
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pickerel Lake Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Rochester Ronald McDonald House.
