NRHEG romps Medford

The NRHEG boys’ basketball team didn’t face much resistance from Medford during its matchup Tuesday night.

The Panthers outscored the Tigers by 26 in the first half and Oakley Baker scored 20 points to lead three Panthers in double-figures in a 69-23 victory,

Tyler Raimann added 14 points for the Panthers (2-0) and Chad Agrimson contributed 10 points and three assists.

“We got off to a good start,” Panthers coach Pat Churchill said. “I thought we did a nice job defensively. We made it difficult for (Medford) by contesting a lot of shots. We also played a lot of guys and were able to give some guys some rest with our busy schedule upcoming.”

Nine players scored for the Panthers.

NRHEG will play three games in the next six days, starting with Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Thursday night.
