Spartans knock off Tigers

The Albert Lea boys’ hockey team fell victim to Rochester Mayo, by a score of 5-2, Tuesday night in Rochester.
The Spartans got two goals in the first and second period from four different players.
The Tigers struck back with two goals in the third period, including a power-play goal by Austin Dulitz.
Rochester Mayo’s Sam Warren put the game out of reach with a goal 14:53 into the period.
Rochester Mayo outshot Albert Lea, 32-22.
Albert Lea will stay on the road Saturday when it faces Fairmont.
Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
