Varsity, junior varsity dance well in home meet

The Albert Lea girls’ dance team had its first home dance meet of the season Thursday night, and the Tigers impressed the local crowd.

Albert Lea competed against Austin and Rochester Mayo in an action-packed meet.

Albert Lea’s varsity team took second place in the high kick event and the junior varsity team finished in first place with a great performance.

Heather Gilbertson, Bri Shea, Rachel Wangen, Sydney Doran and Riley Jimenez are captains for the varsity team.

Dreya Sherden is the captain of the junior varsity team.

Albert Lea won’t dance for awhile now.

Its next dance meet will be Jan. 7 in Winona.
