Heat lamp starts barn fire and other reports

A barn was reported as a complete loss after a fire was reported at 8:24 a.m. Friday at 69525 305th St., outside Hartland. About 100 chickens were reported side by side inside the barn. Hay, a go-cart and a four-wheeler were also inside the barn. A heat lamp reportedly caused the fire. Hartland Fire Department assisted on scene.
1 arrested for drunken driving
Albert Lea police arrested Bruce Jon Busall, 54, for third-degree driving while intoxicated and an open bottle violation after a traffic crash with no injuries was reported at 5:19 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Blake Avenue and East Main Street.
1 arrested for violations
Police arrested Anthony Charles Metcalf, 32, for driving after suspension, gross misdemeanor no insurance, fifth-degree possession, stop sign violation, expired registration and having no driver’s license in possession during a traffic stop at 11:03 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of East Front Street and Newton Avenue.
Thefts reported
Deputies cited Cassie Kay Stuart, 35, Char Lee Danielle Dresser, 26, and Crystal Ann Rose Wells, 32, for theft after a theft was reported at 10:31 p.m. Friday at 290 W. Main St., Glenville. Dresser was also cited for misuse of 911.
Two toys were reported stolen at 9:22 a.m. Saturday at 201 W. Main St.
1 arrested on warrant
Albert Lea police arrested Charlie Morris, 47, on a Department of Corrections warrant at 1:35 p.m. Friday at 408 Court St.
Theft by fraud was reported at 3:06 p.m. Saturday at 616 James Ave.
Counterfeit activity was reported at 6:17 p.m. Saturday at 2751 E. Main St.
Meth found in interview room
Some methamphetamine was reported found in an interview room at 5:12 a.m. Saturday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.
Sexual assault reported
Sexual assault was reported at 10:54 a.m. Saturday in Albert Lea.
