1st half sets back Wolverines

The Glenville-Emmons girls’ basketball team was looking for some positivity heading into the Christmas break.
Having gone winless thus far, the Wolverines were looking to end 2016 on a high note.
LeRoy-Ostrander made sure it had something to say about that.
The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead and never looked back to win 63-30.
The Cardinals held the Wolverines to 13 points in the first half.
Haley Hungerholt and Lauren Helgeson did most of the damage for the Cardinals, scoring 31 and 21 points, respectively.
Payton Cech led the Wolverines with 10 points and Sara Allison scored eight points.
Glenville-Emmons is 0-5 on the year and won’t play again until 2017.
It will be on the road Jan. 3 against Randolph.
