It took Osage one quarter to separate itself from Northwood-Kensett in boys’ basketball Friday.
Osage built a 20-5 lead after the first quarter to waltz its way to a 70-40 win over the Vikings.
It held a 37-13 lead at halftime, then expanded the lead by 10 points in the third quarter before being outscored by four points in the fourth quarter.
Tom Fick did his part — 30 points and 15 rebounds — but his teammates only contributed 10 points to his cause for the Vikings. Fick went 11-23 from the field, including 5-9 from three-point range on the night.
With the loss, Northwood-Kensett drops to 1-9 on the year.
It will host North Butler on Tuesday.
