Sex trafficking documentary to be shown in Wells

The Better Way Inc. Five Sisters Project will offer, free of charge, “Nefarious: Merchant of Souls” at 6:30 p.m.  Jan. 26 at Flame Theatre in Wells.

According to a press release, the film is a multiple award-winning documentary about the commercial sex industry. The documentary exposes the trends of modern day sex slavery and gives an in-depth look at the human trafficking industry, showing where victims are sold, where they work and where they are confined.

“Nefarious” exposes the nightmare of sex slavery as experienced by hundreds of thousands daily, through the eyes of both the enslaved and their traffickers. The film features expert analysis from leaders and testimonies of survivors.

Due to the nature of the content of this film, the theater requires anyone under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 25 years of age.
