2 injured in rollover crash on icy road

Two Alden residents were injured Monday in a rollover crash on an icy highway west of Wells.

David Ray Masters, 42, and Michelle Ann Masters, 44, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

David Masters was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra east on Minnesota Highway 109 when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The vehicle reportedly entered the ditch and rolled at about 8:30 p.m.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and Wells police, fire and ambulance departments assisted on scene.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and the occupants were wearing their seatbelts, the report stated.

A female was transported to the emergency room after a rollover crash was reported at 6:16 p.m. Monday on Interstate 35, one mile south of the intersection of interstates 90 and 35.

The female was transported after she was bleeding from the hand, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

No other information was available as of press time.
