Memorial services for Jim Ferguson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday  at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland. The Rev. Scott Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at church. Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

James “Jim” Robert Ferguson Jr., of St. Cloud passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at St. Cloud Hospital. He was 55. Jim was born on May 17, 1961, to James Sr. and Donna (Hill) Ferguson in Yankton, South Dakota. He graduated from New Richland – Hartland High School.

Jim had a larger-than-life personality and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed playing softball, baseball and golf in his free time. His greatest joys were playing sports or watching his children grow up. Jim cared deeply for his family and friends.

Survivors include Jim’s children Colton and Madison Ferguson of Carmel, Indiana; mother, Donna Ferguson, of New Richland; siblings Loretta (Jim) Schmidt of Meckling, South Dakota, Linda (Dean) Schneider of Vermillion, South Dakota, Thomas Ferguson of Mankato, Denise (Donny) Schulenberg of New Richland and Mary (Rodney) Meyer of Amboy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by grandparents; father, James Ferguson Sr.; sister and brother-in-law Lora and Bob Butcher; and nephew, Dean Nilles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations preferred directly to the family.
