SMART Transit recently announced that it will allow veterans to ride its city route buses at no cost in all four of its hub cities, including Albert Lea, Austin, Owatonna and Waseca. Veterans will need to show their military ID in order to verify eligibility.

According to a press release, SMART Transit and its parent company, Cedar Valley Services, are proud to honor veterans every day and all year. The free services are a gesture of appreciation for the contributions veterans have made.
