The Freeborn County Historical Museum’s Lecture Series “Historically Speaking” will resume in February with a change in format and a musical theme for the spring season.
The first lecture of the series will be entitled “I Love to Tell the Story. . . The Story Behind Sacred Hymns.”
The lecture tells the compelling and inspiring story behind the origin of 10 popular hymns and includes performances of the hymns by a variety of artists. The lecture will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Other lectures in the spring series includes a lecture “Songs of Your Hit Parade in World War II” March 18 and “A Brief History of Jazz”April 15.
Gary Schindler, lecture series coordinator, said the time of the lectures has been changed to coincide better with other museum programming.
