Wolverines fall to Hurricanes, still winless

Houston scored early and often in its matchup with Glenville-Emmons in girls’ basketball Friday.

The Hurricanes used a 38-point first half to run away from the Wolverines, 62-25.

Glenville-Emmons managed only 10 points in the first half, but saw better production in the second half.

Payton Cech led the Wolverines with 11 points. She added two rebounds and two assists. Halee Miller scored five points and Sara Allison added four points. Daniela Rizo had six rebounds to lead the Wolverines.

Glenville-Emmons is now 0-15 on the season and 0-11 in conference play.

It will play Heron Lake-Okabena on Monday.
