St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells will host a winter warmup event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A warmup soup lunch will take place at that time for a suggested donation of $5. A cake walk and baked goods sale is also scheduled at that time.

The public can also attend a crafting event ,which will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. if they register in advance. Crafters get a table, three meals, snacks, make and take craft items and entry in prize drawings. It is $25 to register for the crafting event. To register for the event, call 218-370-9185.

According to a press release, the proceeds of both events will benefit the Five Sisters Project to help raise funds to provide housing for women in crisis.
