Two local wrestlers to represent USC at state

The United South Central wrestling team will have two wrestlers compete in the state wrestling tournament at the end of the this week.
Gavin Sonnek and Blake Legred will represent the Rebels.
Legred breezed his way through the 106-pound bracket, winning all his matches by pinfall to take first place.
Sonnek, at 126 pounds, made it to the championship match before Keyon-Wanamingo’s Bradley Kish beat him.
The loss sent Sonnek to the second-place match where he faced Maple River’s Cody Walters and beat him by a 3-1 decision.
The two will compete in Class 1A, which will start at 9 a.m. on Friday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
