2 injured in Interstate 35 crash

Two people were injured Friday night after two vehicles collided on Interstate 35 near the exit to U.S. Highway 65 in Albert Lea.
Angel Ivan Miranda, 51, and Catalina Miranda, 39, both of Albert Lea were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The State Patrol indicated Angel Miranda was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy northbound on I-35 pulling a trailer when the vehicle collided with a 2013 Jeep Compass, also traveling northbound, driven by Sydney Anne Carlson, 19, of Chaska.
Carlson was not injured.
All occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.
Other details of what led to the crash were not immediately available.
