To flexible seating at Lakeview Elementary School.

Five classes at Lakeview Elementary School have shifted their seating to accommodate flexible seating. Types of flexible seating include sitting on an exercise ball or wobble seat instead of a hard chair, sitting at a low table on a cushion on the floor, at a high table with tall stools or around a table, or using a standing desk.

The shift has so far been positive. Teachers have said students are more willing to tune in, they are working harder and they stay on task. It has helped them interact with students they may not have been interacting with previously.

Kudos to these teachers who recognized and helped implement these changes, which are proving to be a success. Congratulations also to the parents of the students who funded most of the changes.
