Bergan Lundak was the low man for the Tigers. He shot a 43 on the front nine and followed that up with a 42 on the back nine for a score of 85.

Danny Chalmers shot a 90 and Sam Chalmers shot a 92.

Albert Lea and the other 14 teams had to deal with gusting winds, which made it difficult for the golfers to hit consistent shots.

“This course is very demanding without wind,” Tigers coach Max Jeffrey said. “(Monday) was tough for all the competitors. I think we learned some things about playing in conditions like these.”

In his first varsity action of the season, Jacob Prohida shot a 94.

Albert Lea will be back in action on Thursday at Green Lea.

It will host Mankato East and Rochester Century.
