Beth and Mark Olchefske, of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sasha Olchefske to James Welton, son of Martha and John Welton, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The bride graduated from Alexander High School, Douglasville, Ga., in 1999, Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a bachelor’s degree in theater, the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in fine arts in 2010 and was recently a visiting professor at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The groom is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Senior High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 2001 and Kirkwood Community College with an associate degree in theater. He will be graduating with a degree in fine arts from the University of Iowa and currently works for Stellar Industries in Garner, Iowa.

They will exchange their vows on Aug. 13, 2011, at the home of the bride’s maternal grandparents in Edgewater, Wis.
