Fountain Lake Park sign vandalized
A Fountain Lake Park sign was reported spray-painted at 3:42 p.m. Sunday at 100 Fountain St. In a Facebook post, Albert Lea police said vandalizing was “probably the result of poor choices related to a community member’s passing.” Anyone with suspect information was asked to contact police or the Parks Department.
Assaults reported
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Nathan Elliot Nolan, 32, for domestic assault at 11:35 p.m. Saturday at 313 Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove. The ticket was changed to fifth-degree assault.
Albert Lea police cited Nicole Carol Roell, 40, for domestic assault at 10:33 p.m. Monday at 618 S. Fourth Ave.
A pool of blood was reported around a man at 10:39 p.m. Sunday at 2327 Gene Ave. A family member told police there may have a fight between the man and his brother, but the man, who was described as breathing but having trouble keeping his eyes open, reportedly refused police and medical assistance.
A man allegedly came to the emergency room with two stab wounds as part of an assault report that was made at 12:28 a.m. Monday at Hayek Park. Police records state the suspect’s height was gathered, but the alleged victim did not want to press charges.
2 arrested on warrants
Deputies arrested David James Burmeister, 24, on a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office warrant and for fifth-degree drug possession during a traffic stop at 8:47 p.m. Friday at 101 W. Main St. in Geneva.
Police arrested Joshua Dale Prestegard, 36, on an order for protection violation and on a Rice County warrant at 2:54 p.m. Saturday at 815 Lincoln Ave.
1 arrested for drunken driving
Police arrested Garrett Newlin Rozeboom, 27, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a report of a suspicious driver was made at 1:04 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and Wedgewood Drive.
No injuries reported after house is struck
No injuries were reported after a car struck the side of a house at 2:26 p.m. Saturday at 101 N. First Ave.
Items stolen, damaged
Red spraypaint was reported on the wall under grandstands at 7:33 p.m. Sunday at 1105 Bridge Ave. Three fire extinguishers were set off, and the VFW booth was entered.
Three vehicles were reported gone through, and a violin described as expensive was missing at 11:33 a.m. Monday at 460 W. Main St. in Glenville.
A $50 dart set in a case was reported stolen at 1:54 p.m. Saturday at 103 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove.
A tent was gone through with items missing at 2:03 a.m. Sunday at 79503 298th St. outside Clarks Grove.
A $5 gas drive-off was reported at 10:09 p.m. Sunday at SuperAmerica, 23087 Minnesota Highway 13.
A horse harness and Arens riding lawn mower were reported stolen at 12:44 p.m. Friday at 84153 170th St. outside Glenville. The items were allegedly stolen after a machine shed was broken into earlier in the week. Damage was also noticed to a vehicle on the property.
A 2003 white Chevy Tahoe was allegedly stolen at 5:15 p.m. Friday at 611 Edgewood Ave.
A garage was broken into and approximately $800 in tools was missing at 8:47 p.m. Sunday at 1022 S. Newton Ave.
Tools and an air compressor were reported missing at 9:52 a.m. Monday at 936 Jefferson Ave.
A paddleboat was reported stolen at 11:08 a.m. Monday at 1019 Frank Hall Drive. The incident allegedly occurred Sunday night.
Child abuse/neglect reported
A child abuse/neglect report was made at 5:03 p.m. Friday at 1325 Todd Ave.
