Albert Lea police arrested Joshua Dale Prestegard, 36, on a Faribault County warrant for first-degree burglary, felony stalking and misdemeanor violation for an order for protection at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday at 815 Lincoln Ave.

1 arrested after escape from custody

Law enforcement arrested a juvenile at 721 Ulstad Ave. after an escape from custody was reported at 4:07 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main Street and St. Peter Avenue.

Burglaries, damage to property reported

An apartment was reported broken into, with $100 in cash taken, at 5:02 p.m. Monday at 204 E. Front St. No suspects were identified.

A burglary-in-progress was reported at 3:04 a.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. No arrests were reported on police records.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 8:25 a.m. Monday at 102 James Ave.

A theft report was made at 10:17 a.m. Monday at 2000 Tiger Lane.

A vehicle was reported taken at 5:29 p.m. Monday at 411 S. First Ave. The vehicle was later recovered.

Assault reported

An assault report was made at 10:39 p.m. Monday at 201 E. Fifth St. in Geneva. A civil dispute was reported at that address about an hour prior to the incident.

Sex crime with a child victim reported

A Department of Human Services report of a sex crime with a child victim was reported at 2:59 p.m. Monday in Albert Lea. A child reported being forced to have sex.

A DHS report of a sex crime with a child victim was reported at 3:27 p.m. Monday in Albert Lea. A 4-year-old child reportedly stated she was touched in an inappropriate spot by another person.
