Randy King, 1966-2017

Randy “Red” King passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, from an aggressive form of brain cancer in a nursing home in St. Peter. He was supported and surrounded by his loving family during the last days of his life.
Randy was born to Arvis Miller and Keith King on April 27, 1966, in Austin.
He was involved in many sports throughout school and graduated from Glenville High School in Glenville.
He enjoyed walking, fishing and just being outside. He found his love for refurbishing old furniture into beautiful new pieces through his many years of carpentry in the Mankato area over the past 30 years.
Randy has a son, Matthew King, from a previous marriage and is survived by his mother, Arvis Miller; stepfather, Lloyd Miller; sisters Rhonda King (special friend, Mike Wegner), Cindy Miller and Tammy Flicek (husband, Mike); brothers Rodney King (special friend, Jeanette Beenken), Ronnie King (wife, Jaade) and Randy Miller; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith King; grandparents Art and Hazel Stiehl, Clarence and Della Kind and Art and Kate Miller; uncles Kenny Nesset and Bob Miller; aunt, Gloria Kaderabek; and cousin, Jan Jensen.
A celebration of life for Randy will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Edgewater Bay pavilion in Albert Lea.
The family plans to host a private burial for Randy at a later date.
