The Fourth of July is one of the best holidays to celebrate in Albert Lea.
Whether you’re attending a barbecue or some other family event, the Third of July Parade, the annual fireworks or any of the other activities in between, there’s always plenty of things to do.
In the middle of all of the activities you may take part in, take a minute to remember why we have Independence Day in the first place.
Though it seems like ancient history now, it’s a time to celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain in 1776. It is also a time to celebrate the freedoms we are able to enjoy living here.
Often we take for granted how blessed we are to live in this country. Don’t forget all who have fought for us to enjoy these freedoms.
