Scott Graves, 1961-2017

Scott Dennis Graves, 56, of Alden passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, in Bloomington.

Scott was born Feb. 16, 1961, the son of Garland and Marlene (Ruser) Graves in Blue Earth. He graduated from Kiester-Walters High School and attended Albert Lea Vo-Tech in the welding program.

Scott married Debra Weber, and they have four children and four beautiful granddaughters. Scott was a semi-truck driver for a number of years, traveling to many states and Canada. Scott was a fun-loving man with a kind and generous heart who saw the good in everyone. He always had a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his granddaughters. His daughter had a tender spot in his heart, and helping his sons work on cars was a special time for them. He was an active part of his church and the men’s group leader.

Scott is survived by his wife, Debra Graves; three sons, Joe (Amber) Pick, James (Angie) Pick and Christian Graves and his girlfriend, Terry Olson; daughter, Nicole (Tim) Ellis; four granddaughters, Zaylee and Ava Pick, Makenzie Pick and Kayla Ellis; brother, Dirk (Sheryl) Graves; sisters Bambi and Barbie Graves; father-in-law, James Weber; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Garland and Marlene Graves; brothers Rick and Kerri Graves; and mother-in-law, Twila Weber.

The celebration of life service for Scott will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to the time of the service at Our Father’s House, 18358 U.S. Highway 69 in Albert Lea.
