Woman in crash identified

The name of a woman injured in a crash Tuesday south of Hayward has been released.

Catherine Boever, 63, of Blooming Prairie was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.

Boever was driving a Chevy Malibu south on Freeborn County Highway 26 when she left the roadway and struck a field driveway, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Boever was wearing her seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Hayward fire crews assisted at the scene.

2 arrested on warrants

Albert Lea police arrested Larry Junior Loving, 25, on a Department of Corrections warrant at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at 701 Larimore Circle.

Police arrested Rio Santiago Acosta, 20, on a DOC warrant at 12:33 p.m. Wednesday at 826 S. Fourth Ave.

Thefts reported

A storage unit latch was broken and guns stolen at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday at 2409 Myers Road.

A bike was reported stolen at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday at 1603 Bridge Ave.

An online account was allegedly hacked into, with $140 taken out of an account, at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday at 806 Troy Road.

Identity theft was reported at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday at 208 Second St. S.E., Geneva.

A broken window and a spent bullet were reported found inside a house at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday at 73379 224th St.

Two trail cameras were reported stolen from woods at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 860th Avenue and 295th Street, outside of Blooming Prairie.

Rims were reported stolen off a truck at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of State Line Road and 625th Avenue.

Child abuse/neglect reported

Two reports of child abuse/neglect were made at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday in Freeborn County.

A sex crime with a child victim was reported at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday in Freeborn County.
