2 arrested for drunk driving and other reports

Albert Lea police arrested Terry Duane Solland for second-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 5:49 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and East Fourth Street.

Police arrested Steven Randolph Bush for fourth-degree DWI, having a .08 blood-alcohol content and failure to yield during a traffic stop at 6:44 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Mill Street and South Pearl Street.

Bus driver assaulted

Albert Lea police received a report of a 14-year-old girl assaulting a bus driver at 3:15 p.m. Friday at 811 E. 18th St.

The girl allegedly assaulted the 56-year-old man after she did not want to wear her seat belt on the bus that was traveling from Austin to Albert Lea as part of a cooperative the two schools districts have for students with special needs.

The girl reportedly started assaulting the bus driver once the bus entered Interstate 90, hitting him with her hat, pulling his seat belt to the point where he thought he would be strangled, stabbing him with a pen, ripping his sweatshirt and spitting on him.

The girl was not cited, Albert Lea police stated. 

1 arrested for motor vehicle tampering

Police arrested Kristina Rose Perkins for motor vehicle tampering and fifth-degree drug possession after someone was reportedly in the middle of the street yelling at 12:57 a.m. Sunday at 609 E. Main St.

3 cited for underage drinking

Police cited three boys for underage drinking after a liquor law violation was reported at 9:32 p.m. Friday at 1605 Canary Drive. At the scene, police cited one boy for underage drinking, underage possession and a social host violation.

1 cited for domestic violation

Deputies cited Bradley Wilkerson, 28, for a domestic abuse no-contact order violation at 1:46 p.m. Friday at Freeborn County jail, 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Items stolen, damaged

A snowmobile trailer was reported stolen at 4:05 p.m. Friday at 78603 125th St., outside Glenville.

A check was reported removed from a mailbox and used at 11:54 a.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

A .22 rifle was reported taken from an unlocked truck at 2:10 p.m. Friday at 1621 Seath Drive.

Car door handles were reported broken off at 10:53 a.m. Saturday at 619 Minnesota Ave.

A home was broken into, with several items missing at 12:28 p.m. Saturday at 1505 S. Broadway Ave.

A report of theft by check was made at 5:46 a.m. Sunday at 906 W. Front St. A male allegedly wrote a fraudulent check of nearly $52.

A theft report was filed at 2:58 p.m. Sunday at 808 Water St.

A Swiss gear backpack with chargers and other items was reported taken at 5:31 p.m. Sunday at 323 E. Clark St.

A pair of Under Armour men’s shoes valued at nearly $110 were reported taken at 5:34 p.m. Sunday at 2339 Leland Drive. Suspects were identified as white men who were in their mid-20s to mid-30s.

A report of a stolen engagement ring and television was made at 10:31 p.m. Sunday at 133 W. William St.

2 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Charlie Domontie Morris on a warrant, and he was cited for fleeing on foot after a traffic stop occurred at 1:37 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of West College Street and South Washington Avenue. At the scene, police cited Nathan Andrew Johnson for driving after suspension.

Rodolfo Valdez turned himself in on a local warrant at 12:47 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Sex crime with a child victim reported

Child pornorgraphy was reported at 5:13 p.m. Friday in Freeborn.

Fight reported

Four or five males were reportedly involved in a fight at 11:44 p.m. Saturday at 14806 830th Ave., outside Glenville.

Tractor fire reported

A tractor fire was reported at 4:46 p.m. Friday at 33006 760th Ave., outside Ellendale.
