A gathering of family and friends for Mark E. Schwemmler, 61, of Emmons will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lime Creek Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Mark died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Mark Eldo Schwemmler was born Nov. 4, 1956, in Albert Lea, the son of Eldo and Betty (Sorensen) Schwemmler. He grew up in Emmons, graduating from Emmons High School in 1975. Mark spent the past 42 years farming with Loren Stene. He also served as a board member of Lime Creek Cemetery. Mark enjoyed visiting with friends, watching drag racing and following Minnesota sports teams.

Mark is survived by his brother, Terry (Robin) Schwemmler; several cousins and his family of friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Eldo and Betty; and grandparents Albert and Ella Schwemmler and Alfred and Ida Sorensen.

Memorials are preferred to Lime Creek Cemetery.
