5 things to do this weekend

1. Breakfast with Santa

Santa is crawling down the chimney and sticking around for breakfast Saturday at Wedgewood Cove. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage and hot cocoa. There will also be games and activities. Participants are encouraged to bring a toy to share for Toys for Tots. The breakfast runs from 9 to 11 a.m.

2. Cookie walk and holiday bazaar

Handmade gifts and treats are both up for grabs from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Proceeds from the cookie walk and holiday bazaar go toward the church’s 2018 teen mission trip.

3. Christmas concert

Harmony Junction, Faith Tones and the Albert Lea Community Band are coming together for this year’s Christmas concert. There are two performances on Sunday: one at 3 p.m. at United Methodist Church, and another at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. The concert is expected to run an hour and a half. Proceeds the offerings collect will be donated to the Salvation Army.

4. Santa at Northbridge Mall

He’s making the rounds in Albert Lea. Santa will also be at Northbridge Mall from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Children can come to visit and get their photos taken.

5. Children’s Christmas party

The Eagles Club is hosting its annual party on Sunday. In addition to food, prizes and Santa, children are encouraged to wear their pajamas and enjoy a magic show. The party starts at 2 p.m. and is open to children accompanied by an Eagle-affiliated adult.
