A.L. wrestling dominates Rochester JM

The Albert Lea wrestling team looked to continue tis winning ways Thursday night when it traveled to Rochester.
The Tigers were able to stay undefeated as a team and grab their fourth-straight victory over the Rockets, 62-9.
The Tigers recorded five pinfalls and two major decisions in their dominant win over the Rockets.
Grabbing pinfalls for Albert Lea were Cloe Glazier at 106, Cameron Davis at 113, Nic Cantu at 126, Donte Lopez at 132, and Gavin Ignaszewski at 145. Recording the major decisions for the Tigers were Joey Flores and Jake Johnsrud.
Brody Nielson, Zach Glazier, Spencer Indrelie and Brady Nielson all received victories by forfeit.
Albert Lea only dropped two matches out of the 14 weight classes.
“We outworked our opponent tonight and we take pride in that,” said head coach Paul Durbahn. “We got the match-ups we were looking for tonight from some of our up-and-coming wrestlers and they wrestled very well. Our coaching staff was pleased with the product.”
The Tigers climb to 4-0 in their dual performances this season and will be back in action Saturday at Park High School, where they will face off against Wayzata, Tartan and Blue Earth Area.
