Thomas Williamson, 1954-2017

Thomas A. Williamson, 62, died on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at St. Mark’s Nursing Home in Austin. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service with a visitation one hour prior. The Rev. John Holt will officiate.

Thomas Allan was born Dec. 23, 1954, and raised by his parents Cecil and Cora (Thorson) Williamson in Glenville. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.

Tom lived in the Albert Lea area for the majority of his life and spent a few years in Fargo, North Dakota. He had four children, Amy, Shara, Sabra and Izaha.

He was a simple man with a sarcastic sense of humor, a jack-of-all-trades and loved the outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. He had a love of animals — especially his horses — and could be found driving his carriage led by Rex for different weddings and events. He participated in the Sheriff’s posse for the fair and the wagon train.

Survivors include his children Shara Titus, Sabra Williamson and Izaha Williamson; grandchildren Jes Williamson, Makanzie Holland, Taylor Mickelsen, Brittany Mickelsen, Shelby Mickelsen, Riley Mickelsen, Christian Hernandez and Ember Arteaga; great-grandchildren Paizley Lowe and Harmony Mickelsen; sister, Bonnie Williamson; close cousin, Ed Williamson; birth dad, Don Ziesemer; extended family Dawn Marie Johnson and Leslie Ziesemer; as well as many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Williamson; parents; and brother, Troy Ziesemer.
